Restoration Update – 13.09.13

As the skips move away from the front of the building and the dust begins to settle we finally have the chance to enjoy the architectural beauty of the original circle as she was in 1932.

With the installation of stairs leading up the original entrance and egress routes from the circle it becomes easier to understand the design concept of our seating area which was adapted in 1937.

During the work original fittings such as the connectors for the hearing enhancement system have been revealed with their china front plates which will be replicated once the restoration is complete though only for show not with the link to the sound system
