Aladdin Press and Groups Launch is a Pantotastic Success….oh yes it is!

As the wonderful Plaza team bedecked in fabulous costume welcomed our Press and Group bookers to today’s Pantomime Launch where we get a chance to meet the wonderful stars of this year’s family pantomime ALADDIN which runs from Friday 1st December to Sunday 4th January, the excitement mounted as the curtain rose to reveal a sumptuous oriental backdrop and the astounding acrobatics of our Chinese Lion supplied to complement our event by the Jin Long Chinese Martial Arts Academy under the guidance of Master Chen.

Richard Chandler and David Vickers from Extravaganza Productions attired our panto stars in breath taking costumes and as the Launch began, Richard welcomed a new face to The Plaza stage when Benjamin Connor who will be playing Aladdin was welcomed warmly to The Plaza stage by our wonderful audience.

Benjamin was an instant hit with our audience and as he left the stage it was our chance to welcome back a firm family favourite to the stage as Bradley Thompson bounded energetically out from the wings to bring a delighted smile and a loud cheer from our assembled crowd. This will be Bradley’s third pantomime at The Plaza and his infectious enthusiasm and sensational comic timing has ensured that he is an instant hit with all ages and he most definitiely is an absolute must in our panto casting

Our next introduction was for the undisputed Princess of Pantomime, Miss Becky Bennett who with her 4th return to The Plaza stage and looking stunning in her Princess Balroubadour costume,  has ensured her place as one of our panto star’s that our audiences love in her various roles and delight in welcoming back to The Plaza stage.

We have welcomed many pantomime Dames to The Plaza over the years and this year we are SO excited excited to be welcoming an absolute comedy and stage legend with Mr Ted Robbins taking on the role of Widow Twanky, a role which we know he will make his absolute own.

Ted appeared at The Plaza in Cinderella previously and it is with such excitement that we can welcome this magnificent artiste to star in this years production of Aladdin.

Finally with a hiss and a boo (well actually with a cheer and applause!) we were able to welcome Mr Brian Capron to the stage who will be appearing as the very evil Abanazar and his fabulous interaction with our audience from the stage shows us that he will be absolutely loved by our audience this festive season!….

Tickets are selling amazingly well for this fantastic seasonal production of Aladdin so book your tickets now for the affordable festive treat that the entire family can enjoy!….oh yes they will!!….
