Its out with the Old….and in with the…Old!

It certainly was out with the old….and in with the….Old! today as some repairs took place on our external signage board above the ‘Plaza Steps’ which required the removal of our venue signage to be replaced with an exact replica of the same signage whilst works that were required on our beautiful curved ‘Swan Neck’ light fittings which illuminate this fabulous signage also took place.

An early morning start saw our signage contractors being taken aloft using an access platform to reach our display board inorder to dismantle and remove the existing boards that have been in situe since 2017 but required replacement.

The display board above the ‘Plaza Steps’ has been an integral part of promoting The Plaza since 1932 and the classic design including our original logo which was used on our opening day – October 7th 1932, uses the colour schemes taken from our opening day brochure which was a soft pale blue that evokes the feel of the era when The Plaza first opened her doors.

Our contractors did a sterling job restoring the signage which will now serve our magnificent venue for many more years to come.
