Restoration Update – 13.07.09

And let there be light!…..with the foundation works and preparations for installation of the lift, new staircases and restoration of the internal works at the Plaza cracking along on schedule the exciting rebuild of the orchestra pit rail has reached its penultimate stage with each of the hand turned pillars that are topped by the light box erected in place and the LED lighting installed in the Perspex boxes which will glow a changing display of colour.

The work on this beautiful piece of pure craftsmanship are lead by Roy Aspinall with a team including Brian Thurling and David Poole (pictured) who have spent many hours on this labour of love which will be one of the many WOW factors of your newly restored Stockport Plaza.
