Restoration Update – 25.11.09

With three week’s to go until we reopen and the magic comes to life again on the stage and screen with our opening Cine Variety show followed of course by this years family pantomime Snow White, our own bit of magic has been created with the installation of the LED Holophane system throughout the auditorium, staircases, Cafe Lounge and Entrance Foyer.

Originally created by banks of coloured light bulbs which would be dimmed and lit in a series of ‘patterns’ to create ambient lighting states to enhance the glamorous surrounding of the Super Cinema, technology advance have enabled us to recreate this wonderful effect using LED lighting concealed in the same locales as the original light fittings
