Wendi Peters and the cast of Sleeping Beauty host a sensational Pantomime launch….Oh Yes They Do!

It was ‘All Aboard’ at The Stockport Plaza yesterday with our Groups and Press Launch for our amazing Family Pantomime: SLEEPING BEAUTY starring TV Favourite WENDI PETERS who will be playing Wicked Fairy Carabosse.

WENDI PETERS who wowed our audience and press as the perfect Wicked Fairy the minute she walked on to our stage in an amazing costume created by the fabulous team at Extravaganza Productions who stage our Christmas and Easter Pantomimes, made us want to count down the days until she will star in this years festive family production.

Wendi Peters could recently be seen playing series regular Nina Balsara in BBC’s Doctors and is best known for her role as Cilla Battersby Brown in Coronation Street. Her numerous other screen credits include; Midsomer Murders, Hetty Feather, Phoenix Rise and Bad Girls.

Later this year Wendi will be appearing as Mother Superior in the National Tour of Sister Act The Musical. No stranger to the stage, Wendi has worked extensively in the West End, on UK Tours and at prestigious venues up and down the country.

Joining Wendi on stage was the hilarious SCOTT GALLAGHER who will be playing Jangles The Jester. Scott has appeared in a number of our Pantomimes here at The Plaza and is always such a popular hit with audiences and we know he will be again in this year’s sensational Pantomime production which will run from Friday 6^th December 2024 until Sunday 5^th January 2025.

We also welcomed back RAFAELA ZERVA who will be playing Princess Beauty for this years festive production and our Princesss alongside her dashing Prince Florizel who will be played by DANIEL BREAKWELL will certainly find true loves first kiss this Christmas season.

Finally a right royal welcome was given to DAVID GILBROOK who will play the lovable King Ferdinand alongside the fabulous Queen Hermione who is played by JOSH DIXON.

Our cast were ‘All Aboard’ a rare Vintage Stockport Bus built in 1951 during the launch which is the Stockport Crossley 321 which after many years off the road has been brought back in to service by the Manchester Transport Museum based on Boyle Street in Cheetham Hill, Manchester for who we are so thankful for the support of providing this magnificent vehicle for our launch.
