Accessibility


At The Plaza it is our belief that our diverse programme of events should be accessible to all and we aim to make everyone’s visit as easy as possible. If guests have additional needs or questions about their visit we invite them to get in touch. We will always try to accommodate requests and welcome any feedback on our access provision.

We want to make visiting The Plaza as easy and comfortable as we can for visitors with disabilities or access requirements. Joining the Access Register will help deliver the best possible experience for guests who can call a designated booking line –  Tele: 03333 20 28 91 and the access team at Quay Tickets will answer the Plaza Booking Line and assist in any way that they can. Alternatively we have a contact email for the team for your assistance – access@quaytickets.com. The Access Register will assist in personal bookings at The Plaza or grant access to improved booking facilities online.

Car Parking  
Disabled parking is on the Merseyway side of Chestergate, opposite the taxi rank. It extends 38 feet along the frontage of the large retail unit and is labelled “For disabled permit holders only” alternatively The Merseyway Shopping Centre Car Park and Red Rock Car Park located a short distance from The Plaza does have lift access to all floors and on leaving the Car Park, The Plaza is located on Mersey Square with level access from the ground floor level.

There is a loop system installed in the stalls and plans are being progressed to extend this to the circle.

Unisex Accessible Toilet  
Accessible toilets are located on the right hand side of the auditorium Ground Floor Stalls area with level sloped access and in the First Floor Plaza Café which can be reached using a lift located in the main foyer. Further non adapted cloakroom facilities are located on the lower ground floor and can be accessed via the lift located in the main foyer.

The Lift at The Plaza grants access to the Lower Ground Floor Bar area, main entrance Foyer and also The Plaza Cafe Lounge on the first floor. The lift doors open on two sides with frontal access in the Lower Ground Floor and Main Foyer, whilst on the first floor the lift has side access.

If it would be of assistance please do not hesitate to let a member of staff know if you need to use the accessible toilet and we shall assist in enabling access to our facilities.

Wheelchair Access  The Plaza is wheelchair accessible directly into the stalls with designated spaces in the Stalls and also in a raised platform area towards the rear of the Stalls. Assistance is available if required.

Assistance Dogs   Assistance Dogs are welcome in The Plaza and if you require water for your dog we would be delighted to provide this for you.

On Arrival at The Plaza  For ease of access our auditorium numbering system is numbered with Odd Numbers to the left as you enter the venue and Even Numbers to the right hand side whilst Access Tickets (detailed as W or WW) are located in a raised section of the ground floor auditorium. Our Central Front Door team are in attendance and will assist with granting admission to our Box Office and helping minimise queuing for you.

On arrival our team will be able to assist in granting access for you and assisting with any queries that you may have relating to your visit.
