Cinema Organ Society Presents: Concert & Film – Girl Shy (Cert U)

The Cinema Organ Society proudly presents a chance to enjoy the glorious sounds of the much loved Plaza Cinema Organ in a short concert prior to a rare screening of the 1924 silent classic ‘Girl Shy’ (Cert U) starring Harold Lloyd and Jobyna Ralston with Jonathan Eyre accompanying on The Mighty Compton Organ.

‘Girl Shy’ – Harold Meadows (Harold Lloyd) is a shy bachelor working in a tailor shop who is writing a guide for other bashful young men, “The Secret of Making Love”. Fate has him meet rich girl Mary (Jobyna Ralston) and they fall in love, but she is about to wed an already married man so our hero embarks upon a daredevil ride to prevent the wedding.
